Old Wine Barrel Head Clock

This Wine Barrel Wall Clock will fit easily into many different setting in your home. Bar, Rec Room, Wine Cellar, Kitchen, Dining Room.The clock has been created from reused solid oak wine barrels. These barrels were hand crafted in cooperages in Europe and North America and were used by wineries in the Okanagan and Napa valleys in the process of ageing red wine. The years of red wine stains on the exterior and the wine crystals remaining on the interior all remind you of the original purpose and years of use. We have given these barrels new life and purpose!

Wine barrels start their lives, well… full of wine! Once decommissioned the barrels staves, which have been saturated in the lovely liquid, will begin to dry out and shrink. The steel bands are the only thing holding a barrel together; no glue, nails or screws are used. Once the steel bands have been cut it is necessary to secure the barrel from falling apart!

The structural integrity of this clock has been assured with the following features:
– Bands are screwed into every stave
– Lee Valley Heavy Duty saw tooth mounting hanger
– The clock is given a light sanding and finished with a light linseed oil application
– US Made High Torque Clock mechanism and hands are included
– Laser engraved Roman numerals

This piece can be modified to meet your specific needs as a custom order. A ranch brand or other inscription can be laser engraved to your specifications. Hand-crafted in Calgary Alberta
