Live Edge Beech Slab Coffee Table

This curly copper beech coffee table was made for a customer in Manitoba. They saw a bench I built from another part of the same slab and really liked the wood. This slab was spectacular, including three crotches. I obtained the piece from Horigan Urban Forest Products in Chicago. I like using urban harvested timber whenever I can. I had compete freedom on the design of the base and where to cut the top. Its a joy to be able to use such beautiful material, and let it speak for itself.
